Judith B. Krings, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist

Dealing with life's challenges throughout the lifespan can be challenging and exhausting for anyone. Dr. Krings strives to create a warm, relaxed, and accepting atmosphere whereby her clients may feel comfortable and at home from their first session. In a down-to-earth, straightforward and non-judgmental atmosphere, patients can honestly explore their issues and concerns.

Utilizing a comprehensive, compassionate approach, Dr. Krings employs a combination of psychotherapeutic techniques. These include psychodynamic therapy, which focuses on clients understanding the root causes of their problems, in conjunction with cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy, which assists clients in learning to modify their attitudes, behaviors, and coping strategies.

Dr. Krings also advocates a holistic model of treatment. The client's physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual life, when brought into balance, create satisfying solutions in life. Collaboration between the client and Dr. Krings empowers each person to understand that they can make positive choices in their life. These choices will create balance for them and alleviate negative psychological symptomologies.

Dr. Krings believes that people have the ability and personal power to release painful emotions and to create joy and harmony for themselves. Emotional healing provided in a safe, supportive, respectful, and nurturing environment is Dr. Krings' goal. Developing new coping skills, maximizing resilience to life stressors, improving interpersonal skills, learning to set boundaries with dysfunctional people, and once again enjoying the little things in life are byproducts when clients learn to take charge of their life.
